abbreviation for single transferable vote: a single vote using a system where, if your preferred candidate does not get enough votes to stay in the election, your vote can be given to your second choice of candidate; the voting system itself
单记可让渡投票(制),可转移单票(制)(single transferable vote的缩写)
The user of the STV is inevitably denied knowledge that could influence his or her preferences.
参与单记可让渡投票的选民不可避免地被剥夺了知情权,而这些信息可能会影响到他们的投票选择。
First they give a reminder of the way in which the STV would work in parliamentary constituencies.
首先,他们提醒人们注意单记可让渡投票在议会选区的运作方式。
更多范例减少例句Nobody seems to notice that the oddest thing about the STV is precisely that it is a single vote - for that is what it is, no matter how many preferences are expressed. Votes are transferred to the next "continuing candidate", as the STV jargon has it.Some such process is frequently to be observed in the tabulated successive counts of STVs in Irish constituency elections.

Intermittent connection
I use the STV Player throughout the day on my iPhone, however for about 4-5 days now the connection has been disturbed. I am accessing other apps without problem so feel this is solely an STV Player issue. Normally I can watch without any break in connection but there has been constant disruption and now today, I’ve only managed to connect for approx 30 seconds.I know this is very unusual as I use the player every day normally. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Hope this can be resolved soon

Terrible
Can’t use my external speaker on my AppleTV with this app. The ONLY app that I have found that is incapable of streaming to an AirPlay device with my AppleTV. I can set the AppleTV to AirPlay but nothing comes through the speaker from this app.Attempted to watch Live TV “from the start with the app, as soon as you hit the first advert, you can hear the advert but the programme continues on screen meaning everything is now out of sync. Pause? Nope. Resume? Nope. So after 3 or 4 attempts at trying to watch the programme I gave up and watched it on BritBox. BritBox is not perfect, neither is Netflix or Prime but nothing, NOTHING is as bad as STV Player. I also seem to have 2 versions on both my AppleTV boxes. Why? Basically same app with a different icon. Both exactly the same terrible app. Have now uninstalled both and reinstalled from App Store. Still same issues exist. The app also doesn’t seem to remember what I’ve watched so it’s difficult watching a TV Series, you have to remember you last watched Series 7 Episode 6 about 3 weeks ago. The ONLY streaming app that doesn’t seem to remember or mark items you’ve watched. I’d rather use ITV Hub but I’m not allowed to watch the exact same TV shows shown on that as on STV.
Developer Response
,
Hi, if you can drop us a note at enquiries@stv.tv with details of the external speaker you are using we will have a look into the issue. By deleting and re-installing the apps they should now be in sync and you will get the updates for the latest features and fixes. One we are currently looking at is the Watched indicator, so that will be included in a future update. As to content we do have 1000's of hours of shows that aren't shown on the TV, so wouldn't be available via other services. So let us know about the speaker and we'll see if we can help.

JM
I have been using this app for a while and decided to buy the no adds version. This was good until this month as on the renewal date I started seeing adds even though I received payment notification from apple. I have tried to resolve this by following the help instructions, logging off and on again but I still seen adds. I contacted the app help for STV player who said it was resolved and it’s a problem with apple devices they are working on and log out and in again. I followed instructions but I then couldn’t log in. I contacted STV player again and I can now open the app and log in but I can still see adds. I am nearly at the time when I renew my next months payment so I decided to loose last months payment by unsubscribing but the AppStore account doesn’t have a subscription for STV player+ on my account so I can’t unsubscribe. I will be contacting STV players on line help again but am not hopeful this will be resolved. Please sort this out as the app is really good apart from this issue.

Hi, the best course of action here is to contact us at enquiries@stv.tv - if you are unable to see your subscription on your Apple account then visit them at: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/billing - you can see your purchase history, request a refund or cancel from there. Thanks.
